A lifelong resident of Monroe County, Vincent Esposito represents the 16th Legislative District, which includes the northern portion of the town of Irondequoit and all of Durand Eastman Park. He was elected in 2007 and re-elected in 2011.


Vinnie currently serves as the Ranking Minority Member of the Legislature’s Planning and Economic Development Committee, and is also a member of the Agenda/Charter Committee, where he has spearheaded several reform proposals such as reducing the size of the legislature, independent redistricting and rules reform. Vinnie served on the Transportation Committee and County Planning Board from 2008 through 2010. In November 2010, Vinnie was unanimously elected to the position of Deputy to the Leadership of the Democratic Caucus and also appointed to the Ways & Means Committee and the Monroe County Council of Local Governments.


A native of the Village of Fairport, Vinnie is a member of the Fairport High School class of ‘94. Following graduation, Vinnie studied at SUNY Geneseo before taking a position as a software developer with a small, Rochester-based firm, MMI Technologies, Inc.


Vinnie has a strong background and experience in government and public policy, having worked for the New York State Assembly since 2003. It has been the experience of watching so many of his friends and contemporaries leave Monroe County that has, in a large part, motivated Vinnie to expand his public service and be a part of the effort to restore economic promise and prosperity to our community and region.


Vinnie is a member of Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Parish at Christ the King Church,  the Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce, and the Irondequoit Kiwanis Club.  Vinnie and his wife, Jennifer, have two daughters named Avery and Grace.
